The pick up gets a 1.6L engine - Part 3
The fuel pump actuation rod for the 1.6 turned out to be the same length as the 1.3. The fuel pump was installed but no petrol came out.
That was easily resolved by priming the pump. The engine has now been started for the first time. It runs fast and very hot, if the
weather holds this weekend I shall try tuning the carb and ignition. Hopefully that will cure it. There is also a coolant leak from the temperature sensor,
that needs to be investigated. Tightening the sensor didn't stop it.
About the site
This site contains mainly images of Suzukis in offroad action. I'm also detailing the modifications I'm carrying out to my own 2000 Vitara 4u2
and the rebuild of my 1986 SJ413K pick up truck. There are also pictures of Helen's standard Suzuki Jimny in action.
There are also pictures of all makes of 4x4s from the 2002 Sweden Off-Road Tour in which I took part.
